Threat

threat1Threat can be defined as “capability matched with intent”. EWS assist users and industry by defining potential threats within their own area of interest, by theatre of operation or by global overview. Specialising in the asymmetric environment, EWS can provide detailed operational and technical analysis of the perpertrators use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Our background in countering Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIED) and Radio Frequency (RF) allow us to provide advise and assistance to engineers and technicians undertaking development work within the threat cycle. EWS personnel have defined capability requirements, waveform design, development and evaluation, meaning we can assist in writing the test plans for and conducting realistic and verifiable testing of counter measures solutions ensuring they are effective mitigation tools.
